Lita Rossana Ford often referred to as Lita Ford is a British-born American singer-songwriter, guitarist and vocalist who played lead guitar of the all-girl hard rock band The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their rock-star sound and raucous lyrics made them popular within the world of rock. While the group did not make much progress in America however they became extremely popular in other countries. That was the case especially in Japan. Ford started her own heavy-metal career after the disbandment from her band in 1979. She began taking voice classes and then released her first album "Out to Blood" which was followed by "Dancin" on the Edge. Both the albums did not get much attention and Ford disappeared out of the scene for several years. The smash-hit album "Lita" was released by Ford in the year 1988. Kiss Me Deadly was a big hit, as were the ballad Close My Eyes Forever and Kiss Me Deadly. Unfortunately, the success of her career was not last long and after a few years she disappeared. The release of Black in 1995 followed by a fifteen-year delay for the album 'Wicked Wonderland. 2016 saw the release of her latest studio album "Time Capsule". Guitar Player Magazine awarded her the Certified Guitar Legend Award.
